    Info about the different oils

    Hydrating oils:

These oils can easily 'penetrate' your hair and nourish the hair.

Coconut oil (not suitable if you are protein sensitive)
    Sunflower oil
    Palm kernel oil
    Babassu oil

    Sealing and slightly moisturizing:
    Olive oil
    Avocado oil
    Argan oil

    Sealing oils:

These oils stay 'on' the hair and ensure that your hair stays hydrated longer, because the moisture from your hair goes slower.

(Jamaican black) castor oil (not suitable if you are protein sensitive)
    Grapeseed oil
Jojoba oil (light oil, suitable for fine / thin / low porosity hair)
    Rice bran oil
    Almond oil

    Argan oil

Argan oil comes from argan nuts and is also called "Moroccan Gold".

Argan oil for curls contains many antioxidants, vitamin E and omega fatty acids. It is a natural product, so it contains no parabens or other harmful additives.

The Vitamin E provides a protective layer of your hair, which protects your hair against harmful external influences, such as:

    The wind
    The sun
    And dirt from the sky.

It also protects your hair against the heat of, for example, blow dry.

    Almond oil

It is said that almond oil reduces skin irritations, so if you have a lot of itchy and dry scalp, almond oil can have a relieving effect. It stimulates the circulation of your (main) skin and contains magnesium. A lack of magnesium plays a major role in hair loss.

If you regularly dye your hair or often use a hair dryer or straightener, you can quickly suffer from porous hair. Sweet almond oil ensures that your hair cuticles are less open. Because of this you will experience less fluffy hair and your hair will get more shine.

    Olive oil

A handy tool that almost everyone has at home is olive oil.

Olive oil provides good nutrients to your hair. It has naturally good vitamins that make your hair stronger and that you get split ends less quickly.

Because olive oil is a fairly heavy oil, this is especially suitable if you have a thick bunch of curls.

If you have thinner hair, you can better mix the olive oil with conditioner, or just use a little.

    Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil stays more on the surface of your hair, and does not penetrate all the way to the core.

Actually, it works the same no matter what a conditioner does. Because the jojoba oil seals the hair follicles, the moisture in your hair remains better preserved.

So you can use jojoba oil well if you have very dry hair. Your curls will shine beautifully! Jojoba oil is a light oil and therefore suitable for all hair types.

    Avocado Oil

This oil is very suitable for dry and dyed hair. This is therefore 1 of the oil types that you can use perfectly when applying the LOC method.

The advantage of avocado oil is that it is less thick than castor oil and is less greasy than olive oil. By the way, it is an oil that is best used as a sealer.

    Coconut oil

Coconut oil penetrates all the way to the core of the hair. This allows coconut oil to deeply nourish your hair. Coconut oil gives your hair new proteins and is good for your hair if you have too few natural oils in your hair. This may be because you damage your hair too often or wash it with a strong shampoo. It makes your scalp softer, hydrates your scalp and this stimulates hair growth. It strengthens the hair, makes it shine and makes it flexible.

Coconut oil is not very heavy so can also be used for thin and fine hair. It also prevents dandruff if you apply the oil warmly.

    Castor oil

In addition to Shea Butter, Castor oil is probably the most used product in the 'natural hair community'. The hair has sometimes had to endure a lot and castor oil helps them regain their original hair. Castor oil consists of more than 90% Ricinoleic acid (an omega 9 fatty acid) and contains omega 6 fatty acids and vitamin E. A special composition for two reasons: it keeps the scalp clean and in balance and helps keep the hair smoother making it less quickly breaks or damaged. This not only supports natural hair growth, your hair also retains its shine and volume for longer. Very important for those who want long and full hair.
